Plan de Dieu – Domaine Piecaud
AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages
History
The name “Piécaud” comes from the typical “galets roulés” from Châteauneuf du Pape which stores the heat during the day and reflects it during the night to allow those warm pebbles to help the grape to ripen. In Provençal, Piécaud means “hot foot” in reference to the foot of the vine.
