Origin
Saint-Amour covers the commune of Saint-Amour-Bellevue, in the Saône-et-Loire, at the northern end of the Beaujolais vineyards. It is one of the ten Beaujolais Crus.
Vinification
Manual harvest. Whole harvest vatting, so-called semicarbonic vinification, maceration of 7 to 9 days. Aging in vats to keep the maximum of freshness and fruits.
Soil
Sandy granite slopes, gravel and colluvium silty clay.
Sensory characteristic
Colour: intense garnet color with purple reflections.
Nose: Floral notes of poppy, violet, and peony are fully expressed in the first nose. More fruity aromas of cherry and red currant then complicate this expressive and
charming bouquet.
Palate: On the palate it is a rich wine, full with beautiful notes of wild strawberry, with a soft and generous structure. A tangy touch arrives to waken the finish and brings crunch and indulgence.
