ORIGIN-TERROIR
Grand Cm Classe since 1855, Chateau Lynch-Moussas is bought a century ago by Jean Casteja, grand-father
of the actual owners Chantal and Philippe Casteja. The estate’s vineyard counts 62 hectares of vines, planted
on gitnzians gravelly soils composed of stones, clay and sands.
VINIFICATION
Soil tillage
Leaf-streaping and green harvesting
Manual harvesting at perfect maturity with sorting out on site
Second sorting on table at the cellars
Destemming and crushing
Winemaking by plots and grape variety
Cold maceration for a few clays, before clevatting and pressing
Alcoholic fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless-steel vats for 3 to 4 weeks
Press wine separated and aged in French oak barrels
Malolactic fermentation
Several tasting during the winemaking process to dissociate the Second wine from the “Grand vin”
Ageing for 14 to 24 months in French oak barrels
Blending made during the ageing process

TASTING NOTES
Chateau Lynch-Moussas reveals a beautiful and very dark red color and an expressive nose on blackberry notes.
Its palate is dense, supple with silky tannins and powerful notes of fruits. Great finish on blackcurrant and spicy notes.

Chateau Lynch Moussas wil be perfect on a beautiful piece of beef Rossini style, a capon stuffed with truffles
or a milk fed lamb from Pauillac
