Origine – terroir
Château La Govinière is located in the heart of the Lussac appellation, just a short distance from the prestigious town of Saint-Émilion. With a surface area of 12 hectares divided between valleys and plateaus and clay-limestone, clay-silt and red earth soils, this small family vineyard is cultivated by Olivier and Carine Cliarpentier, now the fourth generation at the head of the estate.

Sustainable winegrowing.
Traditional winemaking without the addition of sulphites.
Long macerations.

Tasting notes
Château La Govinière has a beautiful clear ruby colour and reveals delicious aromas of fresh red berries on the nose.
On the palate, it is a well-balanced wine, with finesse and a pleasant freshness that lingers on the finish.
Food & wine pairing
Château La Govinière will be ideal with a lamb mouse, a duck breast and its pan-fried mushrooms or a salad of confit gizzards.
Serve between 16° and 18°C.
