Château Gandoy Perrinat La Bastide
AOC Bordeaux Supérieur
ORIGIN – TERROIR
Château Gandoy Perrinat was originally a modest property of around twenty hectares. Now completely renovated and equipped with a cellar with modern equipment, the château covers today an area of over one hundred hectares on a clay-limestone soil. Proud of its roots, Château Gandoy Perrinat La Bastide takes its name from the medieval town of Sauveterre de Guyenne – founded in 1281 during the reign of Edouard 1st Plantagenêt – whose precise architecture composed of a central square bordered by arcades is called “Bastide”.
GRAPE VARIETY
75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon
TASTING
Château Gandoy Perrinat La Bastide shows an intense red color with vermilion reflections. The nose expresses notes of black fruits and spices, finely associated with toasted oak. On the palate, it is full and well balanced, enveloped by racy and silky tannins. The elegant finish spreads the fruit.
FOOD & WINE PAIRING
Château Gandoy Perrinat La Bastide is enjoyed with a veal cutlet with morels, a duck breast in sauce or a Bordelaise entrecote.
Serve at 18 ° C.
