Origine – terroir
Located in Villenave d´Ornon near Bordeaux, Château Baret is completely surrounded by its vines. The vineyard is on avarage more than 25 years old and covers an area of 25 hectares, which 4 of them produce white wines. The terroir is composed of gravels from the Garonne river, clay and limestone.
Vinification
Picking from the 5th of 12Lh of September 2016 by hand Yield 54hl/ha
Maceration with skin contact in oak barrels
Ageing 12 months in oak barrels 20% renewed, on lees wich are removed 2 times a week for 2 months
Grapes varieties
90% Sauvignon, 10% Sémillon
Tasting notes
Château Baret presents a pale yellow hue with green highlights. It reveals a delicate bouquet made of citrus (grapefruit) and yellow fruit. The palate is intense, well- balanced with a hint of exotic fruit and woody notes.
Food & wine pairing
Château Baret will be ideal on fishes grilled or sophisticated cheeses.
Serve between entre 9° and 11 °C.
