AOP Montagne Saint-Émilion
Origin – terroir
Saint-Émilion is the oldest wine area of the Bordeaux region. The UNESCO organization recognized the great terroir of Saint-Émilion and put the site on the World Heritage List. Saint Emilion wines are considered as the most robust of Bordeaux wines. They are generous,
sharply colored, and reach their maturity quicker than other red Bordeaux.
In the center of Saint-Émilionnais, Montagne (which means the “mountain” in French) dominates this magnificent wine area.
The tower of the Romanic church, situated in the heart of the village of Montagne, offers a great point of view aver the 1 500 hectares of vineyards.
