The winemaker
Roy-Trocard wines are among the great wines of Bordeaux. Winemakers since 1628, the family passes on the winemaking know-how by producing, on 3 properties, wines of very high quality. The story of the Roy-Trocard family begins in 1628, almost 400 years ago. It was on this date that the Trocard family bought their first vines in the Libournais. Since 1628, each generation of the family has had a vine grower to exploit the vines: 15 generations of men and women succeeded each other. Over the years, the family established 70 hectares of vines, spread over 3 properties and 4 AOCs of Bordeaux: Château Jeandeman in AOC Fronsac, Château Laborde in AOC Lalande de Pomerol, Château Mancèdre in AOC Pessac-Léognan,
Piecelle in AOC Bordeaux Supérieur.
The wine
Beautiful deep red color. Very nice opened aromas marked by fruit brandy, buttery notes, pleasant woody aromas. The taste is sweet and full.
