ORIGIN – LOCATION
Spread on three villages, Château Saint-Hilaire benefits of 30 hectares on three different and complementary soils.
The name of this vineyard comes from an old bishop named Saint-Hilaire. Thanks to a constant wine quality
and a rigorous maintain of the technical installations, Château Saint-Hilaire has been promoted as Cru Bourgeois in 2003. After a traditional winemaking in inox tank, the wine is aged in oak barrels during one year.
GRAPE VARIETIES
Merlot 45%, Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Cabernet Franc 5%
TASTING
Deep and intense red colour. Complex nose, on cherry and vanilla aromas.
Rich mouth with ripe tannins, very good persistence.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Can be enjoyed with a marinated beef fillet and roasted vegetables, a chicken and mushroom pie or lamb cutlets with a basil sauce.
